DISCUSSION AND SHARING ON CLIMATE CHANGE AND MENTAL HEALTH

As part of the workshop series “Strengthening Solutions to Respond to Climate Change in Viet Nam” organized by the Institute of Forestry and Sustainable Development of the University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF), with support from the project “Enhancing Mental Health Capacity in Higher Education Institutions in Southeast Asia (MentalHigh)”, Associate Professor Dr. Hồ Ngọc Sơn conducted a sharing and discussion session with lecturers and staff of the Institute of Forestry and Sustainable Development on climate change and mental health. During the session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hồ Ngọc Sơn presented scientific research related to the impacts of extreme weather on mental health and work performance. Faculty members and staff also openly shared the difficulties they are facing, such as stress caused by prolonged heat, increasing work pressure, and concerns about job stability. Through this two-way dialogue, the discussion helped participants gain a clearer understanding of the current situation and the practical needs of workers.
