INCORPORATING MENTAL HEALTH CONTENT INTO THE ORIENTATION WEEK FOR NEW STUDENTS AT THAI NGUYEN UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY.

During the orientation week for new students at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF), the university integrated mental health content to support students in adapting to the new academic environment. Specifically, the topic “Understanding and Managing Stress During the Transition to University” was incorporated into discussions and exchanges to help students acclimate and equip them with effective stress management skills. At the sharing session, the project management team, in collaboration with the Student Affairs Office, introduced the Mental Health Project, utilizing a mobile application alongside interactive activities such as group discussions and games. These activities were designed to enhance students’ awareness and responsibility toward their mental well-being, while providing practical tools to cope with pressures during the transition period. The program not only fostered a deeper understanding of stress but also encouraged students to develop self-care habits, contributing to their holistic development throughout their academic journey at the university.
