On November 29, 2024, Thai Nguyen University of Economics and Business Administration (TUEBA) organized a workshop titled “Improving mental health capacity in universities”. The event is part of a series of activities of the Project on Building Mental Health Capacity at Higher Education Institutes in Southeast Asia (MentalHigh) within the framework of the Eramus+ program on capacity building in universities funded by the European Union in the period 2023 – 2026. The workshop received the attention of many students of the University, with the direct participation of nearly 200 students at the Hall GK1.

At the workshop, Dr. Pham Minh Hoang introduced the MentalHigh Project. The project supports universities to equip staff and students with the knowledge and tools needed to manage stress, build resilience, maintain a healthy balance between study and life, and address mental health challenges. The project aims to discuss with students the awareness of mental health in universities.

He also introduces students to the project’s dissemination channels, including the project’s official website (www.mentalhigh.net), the Fanpage on Facebook: mentalhigh, the Mobile App: Shining Mind, and the Web-based App: MoodCare.

Next, Dr. Do Thi Thuy Linh shared and discussed with students about the importance of raising awareness about mental health care to create an open and friendly environment in the University, contributing to improving the mental health of the staff and students of the University. In addition, Dr. Do Thi Thuy Linh also informed about the project plan to implement the following activities for students and lecturers at the University in the near future.

The workshop received enthusiastic participation from TUEBA’s students. The students liked the Facebook Fanpage and downloaded the MoodCare App to follow and update information about the project.
