On the afternoon of April 19, the Workshop “Students and the problem of using addictive substances” was successfully held with the participation of nearly 130 people, including lecturers, staff working at the University of Education and students studying at the school, etc.
The workshop was led by an experienced speaker in the field of addictive substances, Master, Doctor Pham Thanh Luan. The doctor shared a lot of useful information such as types of addictive substances such as alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, etc.; their harmful effects on physical health and mental health; the mechanism of addiction and how to support/treat addicts. Students and staff participated in the discussion and sent many questions to the Organizing Committee, showing their interest in the topic and their desire to learn and discuss more with the doctor.
This is one of the events within the framework of the project Raising Awareness of Mental Health in Universities in Southeast Asia (MentalHigh) of the University of Education, coordinated by the CRISP-E Institute. In 2025, we will have many more interesting events related to mental health issues. Stay tuned!
