National Institute of Education (NIE)

The National Institute of Education (NIE) is the only higher education institute for teacher training, pre-service, and in-service training programmes for the Ministry of Education Youth and Sport in Cambodia.
NIE´s mission is to promote 21st century teaching and learning and continuous professional development of Cambodian teachers, education leaders, and researchers.
NIE’s research team is a collective professional and expertise in mental health, teaching and research. There are a coordinator who is deputy head of department Internal Quality Assurance as well as an experienced lecturer. There are three researchers who have many years experiences in mental health, psychological treatment and as well as  experiences  in lecturing in NIE.

Nou Channy
Mental High coordinator

Mrs. Channy is a Teacher Trainer and a deputy head of Internal Quality Assurance of National Institute of Education. She is a member of the advisory board at NIE. She got BA of Educational Psycho-Pedagogy and MA of Educational Administration. For Mentalhigh project, she plays an important role as a coordinator and lead Mentalhigh research’s team.

Sansoy Rukha
Researcher

Mrs. Rukha has obtained an MA in Clinical Psychology. She is a lecturer, teacher trainer, counselor, and a co-founder of the Mobile Team for Mental Health.

Hong Naysim
Researcher

Mrs. Naysim graduated MA in Developmental Psychology in Child and Adolescence. She is a teacher trainer, an EMDR therapist, an expertise in psychological treatment, counseling and training.

Loeung Kosal
Researcher

Ms. Kosal currently work at National Institute of Education. She was a teacher of Earth Science for Four years at Kompeng high school. She has obtained Master’s degree in Mentoring from New Generation Pedagogical Research Center and Master’s degree in Educational Management from the National Institute of Education. And she got bachelor’s degree of Environmental Science from Royal University of Phnom Penh.
