In the vibrant atmosphere of the new academic year, Vinh University of Technology and Engineering (VUTECH) organised a series of orientation activities to welcome freshers. Among the various orientation topics, activities raising mental health awareness continue to be maintained by the university as a practical component, helping new students integrate smoothly, reduce stress, and proactively take care of their mental well-being right from their first days in the university environment.

Held throughout the day on August 26, 2026, at the Main Hall, the event under the Mental Health Calendar series attracted over 1,000 enthusiastic new students. Under the engaging guidance of Dr. Pham Thi Ngoc Lan, Vice Head of the Student Affairs Office, the students explored the causes of stress, completed psychological self-assessments, and gained valuable emotional management techniques for their upcoming academic journey.

Although the official phase of the MentalHigh project (“Building Mental Health Capacity in Higher Education Institutes in Southeast Asia”) has concluded, this special event—marking the milestone of Vinh University of Technology Education (VUTED) officially renaming to Vinh University of Technology and Engineering (VUTECH) alongside its new brand emblem—highlights the institution’s commitment to long-term sustainability. Here, students’ mental health will always be valued and supported!
